Mad Max: Fury Road and Leonardo DiCaprio may have been big winners at this year’s Oscars. However the biggest shock of the evening was the Best Picture Oscar being awarded to Spotlight.

“In 2001, the journalists of The Boston Globe’s Spotlight team begin investigating Father John Geoghan, who is accused of molesting more than 80 boys. As they dig deeper and acknowledge their paper’s own failings, the team uncovers a conspiracy of lawyers and government officials who helped the Boston Archdiocese hide the pedophilia of many priests and deny justice to the victims.”
In what was deemed the big winner of tonight’s Oscars, Mad Max: Fury Road took home six Oscars, but failed to win any of the big prizes including Best Picture. These included Best Production Design, Best Film Editing, and both Best Sound awards.
Alejandro González Iñárritu made history by becoming the first Mexican to win back-to-back Best Director Oscars. Iñárritu won last year for Birdman, which also netted him a Best Picture Oscar.

During his Oscar acceptance speech, DiCaprio pointed out the problem with climate change, and that there needed to be a drastic change in protecting the environment.

Tonights Oscars was deemed very snub-worthy. Actor Mark Rylance took home the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in the Steven Spielberg film Bridge of Spies. Many had predicted that actor Sylvester Stallone would take home the Oscar for his portrayal of legendary boxer-turned-trainer Rocky Balboa in Creed. Stallone had won most of the major awards including the Golden Globe. Many had taken to social media to express their disgust.

Many angry viewers took to Twitter in disgust after it his win was announced. Though Smith did dedicate his win to the LGBTQ community, many felt the song was not the best and should’ve not been nominated to begin with.

Actress Alicia Vikander beat out Kate Winslet to win the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in The Danish Girl. Winslet was heavily favored to win for her role in Steve Jobs, though Vikander had won many awards for her role.

Entertainment Weekly went on to recap the best of Rock’s Oscar jokes.
“Everybody went mad [this year] … Jada [Pinkett Smith] got mad. Jada said she’s not coming. Isn’t she on a TV show? Jada boycotting the Oscars is like me boycotting Rihanna’s panties. I wasn’t invited.”

En France, les Oscars 2016 on été retransmis dans la nuit du 28 au 29 février, décalage horaire oblige. La cérémonie des Oscars se déroule quelques semaines après celle des Golden Globes, qui est considérée comme « l’antichambre des Oscars ». En effet, les comédiens récompensés lors des Golden Globes ont de fortes chances de recevoir des prix aux Oscars.

C’est donc une grande victoire pour notre très cher Leo qui a pu enfin rejoindre le rang des acteurs Oscarisés. C’était pas trop tôt.
Juste un peu déçu que Star Wars VII n’ait pas reçu un Oscar comme vu que Mad Max a quasiment tout raflé mais bon.

Trois films ont remporté le nombre record de 11 Oscars. Il s’agit de Ben-Hur en 1960, Titanic en 1998 etLe Seigneur des anneaux, le retour du roi en 2004. Ce dernier détient également le record de 13 nominations pour un acteur, tandis que Meryl Streep a la plus grand nombre de sélections dans la catégorie meilleure actrice avec 15 nominations. Côté réalisateur, c’est John Ford qui demeure à ce jour le réalisateur le plus récompensé dans la catégorie meilleur réalisateur avec 4 statuettes. Enfin, le record absolu revient à Walt Disney avec 22 récompenses dans des catégories en compétition et 4 Oscars d’honneur.

Je suis déçu pour les SA Spurs, Gregg Popovich, Tony Parker, Boris Diaw, Tim Duncan et Manu Ginobili j’y ai cru jusqu’au bout mais les Clippers et Chris Paul ont été supérieurs cette année. Un des plus beau matchs cette année, serré tout le long du match jusqu’à la fin.

I would have liked to see the San Antonio Spurs go through second round. I’m disappointed for the SA Spurs, Gregg Popovich, Tony Parker, Boris Diaw, Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili I believed to the end but Chris Paul and the Clippers were higher this year. One of the best games this year, tight throughout the match until the end.

Pour le moment il y aura une tournée Nord-Américaine puis Européenne avec un passage à Paris-Bercy les 10 et 11 novembre 2015 confirmés. Pour les Québécois ce sera les 12 et 13 juin 2015 au Centre Bell à Montréal. Il y aura 2 soirées par villes au moins et 4 soirs à New York, Los Angeles et Londres. Et bien évidemment des concerts spéciaux prévus à Dublin en décembre 2015 apparemment. Sûrement d’autres dates s’ajouteront plus tard.

The biggest rock band in the world today is back and new concert dates have just been announced from May 2015 to November 2015 for now. At this time there will be a North American tour followed by a European tour with a stop by at Paris-Bercy 10 and 11 November 2015 confirmed. For Quebecers it will be on 12 and 13 June 2015 at the Bell Centre in Montreal. There will be 2 evenings per cities and 4 nights in New York, Los Angeles and London. And of course special concerts planned in Dublin in December 2015 it seems. For sure other tour dates will be added later.

Paul Walker décède dans un accident de voiture / Paul Walker has died in a car crash accident
J’en croyais pas mes yeux quand j’ai appris la nouvelle ! Paul Walker n’est plus avec nous à seulement 40 ans 😦 Et ironie de l’histoire il se tue dans un accident de voiture alors qu’il ne conduisait pas. C’est son ami qui conduisait et ils sont décédés dans le comté de Los Angeles. Une bien triste nouvelle. J’aime beaucoup la franchise des « Fast and Furious » (« Rapide et Dangereux » pour mes amis québécois et canadiens francophones). J’ai vu le dernier en date « Fast and Furious 6 » en juin dernier et j’ai franchement beaucoup aimé. Ca va être très dur sans lui maintenant. RIP Paul Walker, un grand acteur nous quitte. Grosses pensées à sa famille, ses amis, à toute l’équipe des « Fast and Furious ». On ne l’oubliera pas ça c’est sûr et maintenant il faut aller de l’avant.

I could not believe my eyes when I heard the news! Paul Walker is no longer with us at only 40 years old 😦 And ironically he was killed in a car crash accident when he was not the driver. It was his friend who was driving and they died in the Los Angeles county. It’s a really sad news. I like the franchise « Fast and Furious » (« Rapide et Dangereux » for my friends in Quebec and French-Canadian). I saw the latest « Fast and Furious 6 » last June and I honestly enjoyed it. It will be very hard without him now. RIP Paul Walker, a great actor leaves us. Big thoughts to his family, friends, the whole team of « Fast and Furious ». We will not forget him that’s for sure and now we must move forward.

Après le succès d’Intouchables, Omar Sy a choisi d’aller s’installer aux Etats-Unis pour « trouver la paix »… Désormais chez lui à Los Angeles , l’acteur français du mythique duo comique Omar et Fred vient de décrocher son premier rôle dans une super production hollywoodienne, la nouvelle publicité du nouveau Call Duty, Black Ops II, attendu pour le 12 novembre prochain. Grand passionné de jeux vidéo, Omar Sy s’est fait un plaisir d’accepter cette petite apparition au côtés d’un certain Robert Downey Jr, alias Iron Man.
Dans un décor de ville en ruines, comme ceux que les joueurs ont l’habitude de traverser lors des parties, et au (gros) son de Back in black d’ACDC, le teaser réalisé par Guy Richie met en scène les différents acteurs. Même si l’apparition d’Omar Sy est très rapide, ce premier rôle à Hollywood lui ouvrira peut-être de nouvelles portes, qui sait ?
