Yet again, so close but no cigar. BMC’s Greg Van Avermaet beat Tinkoff’s Peter Sagan in a thrilling battle for the line. The reminants of the break could smell the finish line with less than 500m to go yet like hounds chasing a fox, they were hunted down and passed.
