1.) All major leagues are on their midseason breaks.
Generally speaking, European soccer has five major leagues, called the « Big Five » because nobody in Europe has ever been creative. These are the Premier League in England (feat. Wales), La Liga in Spain, the Bundesliga in Germany, Serie A Italy, and somehow still Ligue 1 in France (even though the French league is so objectively awful that Portugal’s UEFA coefficient is ten points higher). Anyway, all of these leagues are now on their midseason breaks, giving players a chance to rest, teams a chance to make transfers, and everybody else a chance to point and laugh…
