L’office de tourisme irlandais lance une grande campagne de promotion web, sur le thème de la série inspirée des romans de George R.R. Martin… Mais quelle idée cool!!!
La campagne a commencé le jour de la diffusion du 1er épisode de la saison 4 et se terminera le jour de la diffusion du dernièr épisode, soit 14 semaines après. Encore plus cool!!!
Ils ont choisi des accroches juste drôles:

Un millier d’ouvriers grévistes munis de bâtons se sont rassemblés aujourd’hui devant la mine de Marikana en Afrique du Sud pour empêcher la reprise du travail après seize semaines de grève dans la ceinture de platine sud-africaine.
Le National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) a déclaré que ses membres n’avaient pas pu reprendre le travail en raison d’actes d’intimidation de l’ACMU (Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union), la centrale rivale.

Our trip began with a short stopover at Dublin Airport, giving us a good understanding of why this country is know as the Emerald Isle. Though urban, the environs of this city seemed rural in comparison with many American cities. And the terrain surrounding it was surprisingly flat, aside from a few distinct hills.

So I’ll tell you why today was both the worst and the best day ever.
The worst:
1. What’s the first thing you want to do when you get on a long flight? Plug in your headphones and watch a movie? Well Matt didn’t have such a luxury. He went to plug in his headphones and the plug was jammed. So for the flight, we had to plug in headphones to my outlet and each share one ear bud every time we wanted to watch something.
2. You don’t want to be that passenger that reclines their seat basically into the lap of the person behind them? We’ll again for Matt, he didn’t really have a choice in the matter. His seat would slowly start to recline every time he pushed it up straight.
3. We arrived in Glasgow around 9:00 am but couldn’t check into our hotel until 1:30…

Today marks the day that I officially move out of my house for the summer. My bags are packed and my room is cleaned (see the before and after pictures… quite the feat I’d say) and I have my South African wine poured in preparation. In twenty-four hours I will be leaving for Seattle, and in six days I will be leaving the states for Africa.
If this blog, or this post, seems out of the blue… let me fill you in.
For the next ten weeks I will be living and interning in Cape Town, South Africa. I will be working with an HIV Foundation, the Treatment Action Campaign, doing HIV outreach. What I will be doing, what I will experience, who I will be living with, I do not know… but I do know that I am thrilled to take on this adventure with an open mind and a heart…

In less than two weeks, I will be departing Wichita, Kansas and journeying to Pemba, Mozambique for Harvest School of Missions. So much is unknown; so much will be utterly different from life here! My heart beats a little faster as my mind races with questions that cannot be answered until I am actually standing in Africa. What will it really be like? Yet my heart finds peace in knowing that I go with the One who is always the same. I will have with me the same Father, the same Shepherd, the same Master, the same Teacher, the same Comforter, the same Friend. With the same faithfulness and loving-kindness that He has led my life so far, so also will He lead me in Africa.

This population is named Rainbow Nation since 1994, for its diversity of people, and to remind that everyone can live together, as the colours of the rainbow.
On this occasion, the Rainbow Campaign was developed at FCB South Africa agency for Coca Cola. They had realized a brilliant campaign that created a moment of happiness for all people who was in Johannesburg.

In celebration to freedom and democracy, FCB in collaboration with Coca Cola, put giant posters covering whole buildings. And, above the biggest, Coca-Cola multi-storey, they realized a real fake natural rainbow for the Rainbow Nation.
